Methodist Children's Home is currently accepting applications for the following positions:
MCH SCHOOL
The MCH School is interviewing for the following positions: teachers for Summer School, June 16-July 11, 2008; teachers for the 2008-2009 academic year for Grades 4-8 Generalist, Grades 4-8 Math and Secondary Education Math; and substitutes and instructional facilitators.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICER
The primary responsibilities of this position are to establish relationships with local, state and denominational media, churches and community organizations in an effort to increase public awareness of this ministry. This staff member will assist with publications, public speaking events and, at times, fund-raising efforts. A bachelor's degree and experience in community relations, public relations, media relations or a related field are required. Applicants must be willing to travel throughout Texas and New Mexico, including weekends. This position requires a self-starter with strong interpersonal and writing/editing skills.
TRANSITION SERVICES COORDINATOR
This is a full-time position for an individual who enjoys working with at-risk high school students and young adults. Applicants must have strong written, verbal and problem-solving skills. This position will provide case management, crisis intervention, independent living and other support services to youth and young adults. A bachelor's degree in social work or related field is required. Bilingual skills a plus.
SOCIAL WORKER - Campus
This position will provide services to adolescent girls in a basic care residential program. Duties include group, individual and family therapy, and casework. Applicants must have a bachelor's or master's degree in social work, family studies or related field.
HOMEPARENT COUPLE - WACO CAMPUS and BOYS RANCH
This is a live-in position for a married couple who will work a shift of 7 days on duty, 7 days off. This position requires working with adolescent youth, teaching normal daily living skills and problem management skills. High school diploma or GED, no criminal history and an excellent driving record are required.
YOUTH CARE COUNSELOR
Applications are being accepted for youth care counselors (FT, PT, PRN). Previous experience preferred. High school diploma/GED, no criminal history and excellent driving record required.
GROUNDSKEEPER
This is a full-time position (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F) for an experienced groundskeeper. Applicants must have a minimum of two years in commercial grounds maintenance. Experience in any of the following is a plus: irrigation and landscaping installation, tree trimming and weed control.
